New Surfboard: Jelly Belly
I collaborated with my ding repair man, Rich Wood (Woody) to make my newest custom surfboard. The new board is modeled after my friend, Denise's surfboard. I got a 7'0 hybrid board. It is shaped mostly like a short board besides the middle where it is fat and wide. It is 2.75 inches thick, 22.5 inches wide, pointy nose with a rocker to get into stepper waves.
I created the jellyfish art work and his new shaping company is called, North Coast Surf Designs. I wanted to support Woody's new business and help it grow. Cynthia helped me name my board. I knew I wanted Jelly in there, but she added the belly cause of the middle thickness and width. I think it is very fitting!

Jelly Belly Surf Sessions:
10.13.12 Cold Water Struggles
Time: Mid Morning
Surfed with: Jacob, Risto (Chris the Red)
Swell Height: Chest
Swell Condition: Some clean shoulders, mostly close outs
Board: 7'0 Jelly Belly
Session Highlights:
I took out my new surfboard, Jelly Belly. It requires a lot more paddling power than all my other boards. I caught a wave right away and was so stoked! I caught another really good one, but the others were giant close outs! It was challenging, but fun!
